Today we're super excited to roll out the
New Profile Redesign
for you. We've completely revamped the interface and have made a lot of performance improvements.For those of you who are interested in some engineering behind the scenes:
- we're in the process of migrating our React App to Nextjs, which speeds up the whole application
- we've moved away from custom StyledComponents and now use TailwindCSS

The directory is getting a major new look and feel!
We've been working hard on this for months and we're extremely excited to show you what the future of the On Deck platform will look like.
One major change we are excited about:
- A unified post feedwhere you can see updates from your fellowship cohort
- Significant performance improvements
- Uses our new "Log in with On Deck" which we've just rolled out this week
As we roll out this change, please let us know if you find any issues or hiccups; we're here to resolve them as soon as we can! 🤲
We're introducing the On Deck Product Changelog.
Why are we doing it?
To show that we value execution, we hear your voice, and to highlight some of the amazing work by our Product team.
How does it work?
- When we are releasing a feature, we will write up a changelog entry.
- We will publish this feature in our changelog, which is available on https://ondeck.canny.io/changelog.
- We will also write up a summarized version of this for the weekly member newsletter.
If you see updates that you're particularly excited about, or you have ideas for new features, please write to us on our feedback form!

Major Slack updates
We have made a major improvement to how we use Slack at On Deck.
We moved to use Slack Enterprise. This enables us to do some really cool things:
- "Log in with On Deck": you now have one single login across all Slack workspaces, the Directory, and Lean Hire.
- This now makes it straightforward for us to create more Slack communities. Stay tuned 👀

Events UI
We're rolling out an events hub within the Directory. This is currently being activated on a cohort-by-cohort basis and shipping out this week.
Our goal with this project is to make it easy to curate your events experience during your fellowship:
- Discover events which are relevant to you through event tags and "must-attend" events
- Attend cross-cohort events
- Find out more information about each event
Note that we are not replacing Google Calendar - that will still work indefinitely! - but we will be fleshing out these features over the coming weeks.
